Organizers of the Cycle at the Creek Ride will take reasonable and customary precautions to prevent transmission of the COVID-19 virus, which includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Volunteers who interact with ride participants either directly (i.e., face-to-face) or indirectly (while preparing ride materials or food) shall be at low risk for transmitting the COVID-19 virus when performing services.

  • The registration/check-in process shall minimize the potential for transmitting the virus through fomites or contact with other ride participants.

  • Food shall be served to ride participants in a manner that prevents cross-contamination by other riders or contamination from other sources.

  • Volunteers are required to follow standard precautions to prevent transmission of the COVID-19 virus, which includes:
  • Wearing a mask/face covering if not vaccinated.

  • Practicing social distancing of 6 ft. or more when: (1) not wearing a mask or (2) exercising duties do not require them to work in close proximity to others.

  • Using hand sanitizer whenever their hands may become contaminated.

  • Precautions are taken to prevent viral transmission when participants use tables and chairs provided as a courtesy.

  • Tables are separated at least 6 feet apart.

  • Tables are covered with a plastic table covering.

  • Tables and chairs are wiped down with a disinfectant after they are used.

  • As cycling in the outdoors conveys little risk for transmitting infectious agents, no specific recommendations are made for cyclists to modify their behavior to prevent the transmission of the COVID-19 virus while they are cycling.
